most cats like to say, “meow” in german the word for mouse is “maus” roughly sounding like “meow” more like “maow” which is how my cats sound anyways, they don’t really “ME-ow” they “ma-ow” or rather, they “maus” therefore, it is my theory that all cats are simply wishing or inquiring about a mouse any time...
